Leisure Supervisor(s)


We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to play a key part in the operation and development of community lettings within a variety of schools in Leeds. The successful candidate, will be given the opportunity to join our well-established team and to be part of the company’s growth plans in the North. The successful candidate will be required to oversee various activities and bookings across multiple schools within the Leeds area.  You will be highly motivated, fully able to work alone effectively and specialise in excellent customer service. You will be meticulous in following procedures and able to accept responsibility for yours and others’ actions. Further to this you must be able to perform a host of other responsibilities as outlined in the job specification. The hours of the role will be dependent on activity across sites and will be mainly evening and weekend working.

Key responsibilities & duties

  • Assist and supervise customers in their use of the facilities, ensuring their safety and well being at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional approach to dealing with any issues/complaints
  • Line management and supervision of Leisure attendant(s), where applicable
  • Set up and take down of facilities and equipment in a proper and safe manner. This is to include the opening/locking and checking of all facilities within the school
  • Travel across multiple sites depending on demand
  • Able to work alone, have key holding responsibilities across a number of sites
  • Carry out regular routine inspections of the facilities and equipment to ensure satisfactory operation and maintenance of safety standards
  • Forming and maintaining relationships with community users, teaching staff, the Local Authority and other Local Community Bodies associated with the facilities
  • Undertake any other administration tasks as and when required
  • Administer marketing and promotional tasks including regular social media updates
  • Comply with all operating procedures and requirements of the company
  • Exploiting potential opportunities for income generation for the business
  • Ensure effective communication and high-quality standards at all time to generate and retain interest in the use of the facility
  • To be responsible for ensuring that appropriate policies and procedures are in place, and ensuring all customers adhere to booking terms and conditions

Essential Criteria:           

Full, clean driving licence and use of own vehicle

Excellent Customer service skills

Ability to solve problems

Sound Communication skills

Experience in a customer-facing role

Desired Criteria

Experience in lone working

GCSE Qualifications in English and Maths (C or above)


In order to deliver the service effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder will be required to perform work not specifically referred to above.  Such duties however will fall within the scope of the post.
