Student Depot Polonez opens refurbished co-working space

Monday 21 September 2020

The Student Depot dormitory in Poznan – situated in the former Polonez hotel, built during the communist era – has repurposed 300 square metres of underutilised space into bright and flexible co-working space.

The offices are complimented by a large terrace, and create a unique business environment in Poznan that offers individuals, businesses and entrepreneurs a modern working facility in a convenient location close to the main transport hubs.

Consisting of 37 workstations, customers will have access to common areas, meeting rooms, and modern comfortable space for break-out. The complex will also offer access to a gym and shopping and restaurant services. Parking is also available for users and guests. Designed and executed by Student Depot’s in-house team, the facility has already attracted its first tenants.

Student Depot, owned by Kajima in partnership with Griffin Real Estate, is the largest private student housing operator and developer in Poland. It currently operates over 2,500 beds across Poland in Warsaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Lublin, Wroclaw and Lodz, with a further 1500 beds due to start construction during this academic year.

Due to the risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Student Depot rigorously adheres to the recommendations of the Polish sanitary-epidemiological station (SANEPID) and the Polish National Labour Inspectorate, adjusting the number of desks and the space between workplaces to the principles of social distancing. The entire office space is also regularly disinfected, and users have constant access to disinfectants.
