Kajima appoints new development manager focused on regeneration development

Wednesday 2 June 2021

Kajima has appointed Libby Butler as development manager for Kajima’s mixed use development portfolio, with a predominant focus on town centre regeneration projects.

Based in our new London head office, St Giles Square, Libby will report to Head of Development, Kirk Taylor. Libby will support Kajima’s continued growth in the sector, building on existing partnerships and generating new relationships to develop and invest in a range of opportunities arising out of the public sector’s need for strategic estate and regeneration delivery.

Libby joins Kajima Partnerships from IV Real Estate, a London based investor, developer and asset manager. Originally starting her career as a Quantity Surveyor on large scale construction and infrastructure projects, she holds a BSc degree in Commercial Management & Quantity Surveying from Loughborough University.

Libby will work with the existing Kajima Partnerships’ team, and as part of the recently announced extended partnership with Genr8: Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd.

Libby commented: “I am very excited to join the outstanding team at Kajima, who have been incredibly welcoming. This is a great opportunity to apply my skills and experience to wider schemes, and to build on Kajima’s significant track record in the UK social infrastructure sector. “

Kirk Taylor, Head of Development, Kajima Partnerships commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Libby to the team and look forward to her applying her experience and enthusiasm to growing our presence in the regeneration arena.”
