Kajima formalise joint venture partnership with Genr8

Rochdale Riverside, a 200,000 sq ft retail and leisure destination which has transformed the heart of the town centre, opened in spring 2020 and features amongst its occupiers; a 50,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer, a six screen cinema complex as well as a host of other well-known national retailers accommodated within 24 new retail and leisure units.

Building on the success of Rochdale Riverside, Kajima and Genr8 have now formally established Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd.

Having secured and completed the initial £80m funding deal with M&S Investments, works have already started on the next phase of the Rochdale project which will deliver 240 apartments and a 146-bed Hilton Hotel, in a further £50m investment deal.
