Conor McIntyre joins Kajima Ireland as a Senior Investment Manager and will focus on leading transactional due diligence, further contributing to Kajima’s growing team and presence in the Irish real estate market.
As a Senior Investment Manager, Conor’s role encompasses financial analysis and modelling, leveraging his significant experience in transaction management, asset management, and reporting across multi-asset classes.
Kajima continues strengthening its commitment to the Irish market by financing and developing new projects. Conor’s appointment coincides with ongoing progress at O’Neill Court, a €100 million residential scheme in Belmayne, Dublin, featuring 258 units being developed in partnership between Kajima and Bartra. It is targeting the LEED Gold standard for sustainability by utilising modern methods of construction that reduce the overall carbon footprint and waste. O’Neil Court is set for completion and lease in the first half of 2025.
Kajima is also delivering phase 2 of the Torc Social Housing Bundle as part of the Irish Government’s Social Housing Programme. Phase 2 comprises 465 new sustainable homes across eight developments in Cork, Kildare, Clare, Galway, Waterford and Roscommon counties.
The Republic of Ireland requires at least 50,000 new homes a year to accommodate its high population growth, according to the latest report from the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) commissioned by the Department of Housing and Local Government. Kajima’s ongoing work continues to address the gap between the supply shortage and heightened demand for affordable, quality housing by prioritising best-in-class design and sustainable construction methods. The team is actively looking for further investment and development opportunities nationwide.
Dwayne McAleer, Managing Director at Kajima Ireland, said: “It is great to welcome Conor to the team as we continue to expand our residential footprint in the Irish market to help meet national housing targets and local demand. His appointment brings a wealth of experience in investment management across the sector and strengthens our growing team, further demonstrating Kajima’s ambition in Irish real estate.”
