Student Depot in Gdańsk, co-owned by Kajima and Griffin Real Estate Partners, reached full occupancy for the 2020/21 academic year after opening in September. Despite the challenges of Covid-19 and online university teaching, the teams at HQ and on-site in each dormitory worked tirelessly to ensure they remained full and operational, overcoming practical and logistical challenges to ensure Student Depot remained the number one choice for Polish and international students.
Student living is an important part of university and spaces should be inspiring, full of life, and attractive. The interior was designed by the award-winning agency, MIXD, led by young creatives. The dormitories offer young people fully furnished single or double apartments with private bathrooms and a large kitchenette, the facility also has several internal and external communal spaces, including gyms, chill zones, quiet study rooms, co-working spaces and even gaming rooms.
Jolanta Bubel, CEO of Student Depot added: "Whilst studying is an important part, so is making friends, and the brand-new Student Depot Gdansk dorm has been specially designed to give students the very best start to their studies as well as their social life! Student life starts here!”
Hannah, Resident of Student Depot commented: “A great local team that ensures wonderful atmosphere! Comfortable, modern rooms and facilities every student needs. Thanks to Student Depot, the word ‘dormitory’ gained a new meaning. I feel great living here and intend to stay until I graduate.”
